OOTD: What I Wore In Barcelona

I had high hopes that I was going to going to do fancy photoshoots in the pretty streets of Barcelona. But that never happened. I was a sweaty mess most of the time and craved a air conditioned room. No one needs to see those type of photoshoots. But I did manage to snap a few on my phone so thought I'd round them all together.

Ginger & Co beauty range

Bathing Beauty Moisturising Bubble Bath & Wash - £3.99*
There's nothing quite like a relaxing, hot bubble bath after a stressful day to help restore calm.  Luckily only a few squeezes of this bubble bath immediately produces an impressive array of bubbles. Perfect to sink in to and read a book! The citrus of the lemon balm immediately comes out and wafts around the room as the bubbles start to form. Thanks to it's moisturising qualities my skin came out feeling supple and smooth. Nothing worth than resembling a lizard with scaly skin if you forget to apply moisturiser!

Soft on You Daily Body Lotion - £3.99*
Rose is my favourite smell when it comes to beauty products so as soon as I started to use this I was smitten. It's a very light weight moisturiser making it perfect for morning use. It doesn't take very long to sink in and a little goes a long way. I find it worked great on the stubborn areas of my knees and elbows. Dry skin be gone!

Double Up Creamy Bodywash with Added Moisturisers - £3.49*
The ginger hit me as soon as I started to lather up the body wash. Perfect to help wake you up in the morning! It really does what it says on the tin and keeps my skin in tip top shape. It's great if you're in a rush and haven't got time to spend moisturising when you're out of the shower. Two in one products always get a thumbs up from me!

Heavenly Hands Moisturising Hand wash - £3.99*
Hands can take a battering in day to day life so a good hand wash is an essential. Endless washing can leave your hands capped and sore. A great blend of ginger root, beauplex and Juniper Berry means it smells heavenly. Perfect to keep your mitts in shape.

Soft On You Comforting Body Butter - £3.99*
If I had to choose, I would opt for a body butter over body lotion any day. The thick cream just feels more luxurious. A little certainly goes a long way with this body butter - it'll last you for ages. I do love products that are good value for money! My skin immediately felt so much more smoother and supple. It was very quick to sink in so I had no problem slipping in a pair of jeans after. Always a winner when you're in a rush!

Review: Belgo, Soho

A good few weeks ago now I was invited to try out the beers and food at Belgo, a Belgian themed restaurant in the heart of Soho. I have to be honest and admit I'd never heard of the small chain of just five restaurants but I'm a massive fan of Belgian cuisine. Namely moules and frites! How can anyone not like them?! Unfortauely my photos of the mussels didn't come out very well - darn mood lighting - but I do have some mouthwatering photos of the other food I kindly got to sample.

We were served a whole variety of yummy food throughout the night alongside different beers to help compliment the dinner. The restaurant impressively serves over 50 different craft beers so there's something for every taste. My favourite was the cherry beer Kriek which reminded me of my time in Bruges.

The highlight of the dishes we got to try was the incredible rotisserie chicken. It comes in six different flavours but we tried the sweet chilli, lime leaf, ginger and red pepper glaze. Oh my, I could have eaten the whole chicken. It has just the right amount of kick and the meat was very tender.

The restaurant also boasts fresh whole lobsters with a drool-worthy garlic butter, pea shoots, a bowl of homemade coleslaw and salty crispy chips. At just over £30, the dish isn't one of the cheapest you can get in the city but sometimes it's worth splashing out. I can confirm it's definitely worth splashing out for!

The un-pictured mussels were divine. Served in a kimchi Korean-style hot and spicy sauce with pak choi. I loved the unusual flavours - I'd only ever had them with garlic white wine sauce. I couldn't fault the dish at all. The mussels felt fresh and there wasn't an ounce of grit on them. Just needed some bread to mop up the juices!

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll see that I amazingly managed to get my face on a beer bottle along with my dinner partner for the evening Lauren. We bravely managed to scoff the waffle below despite being fit to burst. Sometimes you just have to take one for the team eh?

Have you ever visited Belgo before?
