Bootsale booty

A Theo Miles brown tweed blazer - £2
A yellow paper sun parasol - £1
A small Vogue mirror - 50p

I did yet another bootsale yesterday and managed to raise another £25. So that is £50 in our holiday spending money fund. I quite enjoy this bootsale lark!

I managed to have a little hunt around for myself and came away with some goodies! All for the pricely sum of £3.50. If anyone has any history on any of these items, please let me know!

I have no use whatsoever for the parasol as my dad very kindly pointed out when I showed him my "junk" but it looks fab in my bedroom and if we ever hit a heatwave I am well prepared!

I had seen the vogue mirrors on various blogs and did a little inward dance when I spotted this on the stall behind mine. When the lady said 50p I couldn't open my purse quick enough. The frame needs a rub down and banging together. I am going to bribe my dad with chocolate. Any idea of the date of this? I would love it if it is a good few years old!

The tweed jacket sold me with the elbow patches. I am going to wear it with jeans and roll the sleeves up. I've not have the chnace to google Theo Miles so am not sure on the brand as of yet.

One pet hate of the bootsale is, why do people come with wads of £20 notes? No I do not have change for that. Ugh.

Anyone else hit any bootsales over the weekend?

He walks away, the sun goes down

Outfit:
Black blazer: New Looks
Black rouched sleeved top: Topshop
Black and cream pleated skirt: Primark
Round toed court shoes: Topshop
Multi strand faux pearl necklace: Mothers bedroom

What is this? An outfit post? It is indeed my lovelys! Christmas in July means that I have been getting into work, eating dinner and going straight to bed. But as of next week I am getting home at an reasonably hour so will have more outfit posts for you if you want? I have quite a few new things, from Primark of course!

My mum treated me to this bargain skirt (only £5) today and I just knew I had to wear it tomorrow to work. Still not entirely sure that it is flattering, I think it makes my legs looks stumpy (still trying to lose weight, am stuck at 3 pounds). But I love it enough to wear it anyway. It is just so ladylike and seems perfect for working in the city. I want to walk along the platform swishing away. The rest if the outfit is old old and more old. I have had these shoes for about 3-4 years and had only worn then a few times. But these last few months I have worn them to death. It would seem they are the perfect work shoe!

I am off out for dinner tomorrow, meeting my friends at the classy establishment that is Wetherspoons. I think I might have a cheeky vodka and cranberry juice. You know, push the boat out.

How has your week been so far? Anything exciting happen?
Big hello to new followers, talk to me on twitter. I promise I won't bite :)

A snapshot #1

I always love reading about these. So here you have a snapshot of my week via my iPhone

001. This last month I have gone to so many Christmas in July at work press shows I have lost count. I already have my Christmas list sorted. This Alexander McQueen Union Jack clutch is top of my wishlist. Can the lottery gods make sure my boyfriend wins the jackpot?

002. Excuse the overexposed photo and the extremely cheesy grin. My best friend came and met me after work on Friday for a half price Pizza Express and two for one cocktails in the Slug and Lettuce. Winning combination.

003. I did a carboot on Saturday which I do not recommend is the best thing to do when you are hungover. However needs must. My boyfriend as you can see had a whale of a time. We made £25 after we took the £11 back we paid for the car. Not a mind-blowing amount but it is all going in our holiday spending money pot. We are clearing out Connors house, his dad has kindly let us keep the money and my Uncle is moving house so he has kindly let us keep the money for his junk too. We have enough goodies for at least 3 more bootsales so if we make £25 at each one we will have £100 for our holiday. Not bad.

004. Some holiday reading. This was all I brought at the bootsale for a £1 each. To be honest it was all I could afford. I saw some beautiful china cups and saucers. But I don't have a house and cannot afford to move out until about 964891279128 years. I also still owe £120 on my holiday plus spending money so cannot be spending money willy nilly. It did not help that they were the stall behind us and I was staring longingly at them.

005. Itunes Festival. Connor won some itunes tickets to see Mogwai and the support act errors? It is not really my sort of music, I should imagine you need to be off your head to enjoy it. No offence to anyone, I just like a bit of guitar. We went along anyway to Camden and had a nandos thanks to Oliva's suggestion. We ended up leaving after the support act but it was still a nice random day out. We walked along the lock and did a bit of people watching. It felt strange being in Camden after the Amy Winehouse news broke. RIP Amy. No matter what people say I think you should remember that she was someone's daughter and the pain that her family is going through right now. I think people should have a heart.
