Another one of my birthday money buys. It reminds me a bit of a dress that was in Topshop before Christmas, it was a similar style but cost £50. This however was a bargain of £17. You can't really tell in the photos but it has buttons on the inside of the sleeves. Gotta love little the little details. Must admit this bag is one of the best things i've brought in a long time, goes with everything so expect to be getting sick of it soon! I'll be using it everytime I go out!
I wore it out last night for my friends birthday, we went into the next town for a few drinks and dancing. I must be getting old as I didn't recognise any music that was playing. I like a bit of Indie and pure cheese! I always feel like I have to be a less covered up if I go out anywhere other than London.I could never wear my birthday dress out dancing in the town I live in, I'd get an unbelievable amount of dodgy looks! I've never been that girl that wears tight bodycon dresses with cut outs and my boobs on show. Not even when I was 18. Think i've always dress a little bit too old for my age and conservative. This is my perfect clubbing dress - short but covered up!
Today shall be spent recovering in bed, have yet to get out of it, and ebaying my whole life. My bank balance is looking very sorry for itself recently and it's about time I did something about it! Going to have to venture downstairs soon though as my dear old dad is making me a bacon and egg sarnie! Perfect hangover cure!
What do you have planned for today?
I love the colour blocking in that dress :) That clutch is gorgeous too, I can see why it's becoming your favourite! Hope you had a good night! x
ReplyDeleteHi I'm new here, great blog by the way. Loving the subtle contrast of shell pink clutch against ivory white of your dress! Sharon Sahara x

Love this dress- I remember the similar one in Topshop, but £50 was too much for me too! Will have to get down to Primark! I know what you mean about how dressing covered up can get weird looks, in my town they still think boobs + legs + 6" heels = sexy, something I'll never be in this town!

I have to say I LOVE your birthday dress from the other post. Amazing! I know what you mean about everyone always going out in a body con which is so short that it shows their bum. I think I did that once when I was 16 (although I didn't show mu bum, I wore a tight short dress) for one night and I felt SO uncomfortable. I'm so not that girl! Glad you had a lovely time though.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress you look great :D x

ReplyDeleteI'm not into bodycon. No spraypainted-on dresses for me thanks!
I keep seeing this dress in the Primark window, I love it so much! You look lovely :D
ReplyDeleteI know just what you mean about body con dresses, when I go out in Birmingham (which is usually) everyone is in whatever they want to wear, when I go out in Solihull which is a town on the outskirts, suddenly everyone is orange and wearing stripper heels
Lovely dress! I always feel old when I go out as I am an Indie and Cheese fan and never know any of the songs!! xx
ReplyDeleteI love that dress, you are right the little details always make it. And that envelope clutch is perfect too xxx
ReplyDeleteI have that dress too! Love the colour-blocking of it and how easy it is to just throw on for most occasions! Looks great.

You look fabulous in this dress - i think it great to see styling gals who are covered up on a night out - my town however is the opposite, the girls wear next to nothing! Scarlett x

I think I've always been quite conservative too in dressing - I am scared of bodycon and love circle and skater dresses! This dress is really lovely, love the colour blocking detail.
