Outfit:
Green polkda dot midi dress: Asos
Nude faux suede court shoes: Primark
Cream 3/4 length cardigan: Primark
This dress is one of my birthday money purchases in it's full glory. Thanks to Sarah who suggested it to me, she knows my style better than I do! She's always suggesting such beauties! I teamed it with a cardigan as it's really much more of a summer dress. A coat would have looked far too bulky. It's such a lovely dress, a tad more expensive than I usually would have spent given my current funds but you really can tell the difference in quality between this and a Primark number. Sometimes it pays to spend that little bit extra. I was perhaps a little overdressed for bowling but why should you only save your clothes for best?
A few snaps from my birthday night out on Saturday. Like I said on Sunday I did have a lovely time although it wasn't without it's drama. I booked the bowling at the wrong venue, completely my fault as I didn't read the club night correctly. I had a full on argument with the doorman who tried to make us pay extra and then had to sheepishly backtrack when I showed them the email. Not my smoothest moment! But still it was so nice to get together with all my favourite people. Now we've all practically graduated with full time jobs it's hard to fit nights in where everyone can come, a few still missed out but overall the gang was back together. As always too much alcohol was consumed and lots of belly laughs were had. Looking forward to another birthday night out for a friend next Friday!
That dress is so pretty! Hope you had a fun night :) Happy Birthday! x

Wow, this dress is amazing! I have something slightly similar but not as long. It's so cute, especially with the bowling shoes. I always want to wear crap shoes to bowling and steal some shoes, but I always forget. Is that weird? xx
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI stumbled across your blog while looking for a review of the dress you're wearing (it looks great on you, btw), and then couldn't stop reading!
I just ordered this dress (first time ordering from ASOS), and, since I can't find any reviews, was wondering if you could tell me if it fits true to size? If it doesn't end up fitting me when it arrives, I have to hurry and find a substitute for an upcoming wedding. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks :)
Hi, I found the size 12 was a little big but the straps are adjustable and it turned out fine! It's such lovely quality!
